Mevis Slovakia was set up with the specific objective of moving production closer to the many Mevis Group customers who have relocated their manufacturing operations to countries in Eastern Europe. Specialising in the manufacture of small metal parts for the automotive, electro-mechanical and domestic appliance industries, Mevis Slovakia employs a local workforce of 120, supported by Italian technicians when the need arises. Mevis Slovakia is ideally positioned to serve a large emerging market with consolidated mechanical traditions and labour costs lower than those of Western Europe. Production in Samorin started in less than 4 months back in 2006. The original plant of 7,000 square metres was extended in 2015 and now occupies 21,000 square metres. A new cataphoretic painting line has been installed along with other advanced technologies.
