A memorable two days of joyous celebrations for Mevis' first 50 years on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September, involving more than 800 guests. Inaugurated in grand style by a gala dinner at the company premises in the presence of the authorities and major international and national customers, the homage to half a century of history and the company's successes continued and reached its climax with a big party reserved for all employees and their families, always the heart and soul of a company that strongly believes in the value and talent of people. The President of Confindustria, Emma Marcegaglia, sent her personal congratulations to the company for its successes in these extremely difficult years for the Italian economy. To celebrate its important milestone, Mevis also recounted its compelling entrepreneurial and human adventure in a book - Una molla per il progresso, storia di una famiglia e della sua impresa (A spring for progress, story of a family and its enterprise) -, written by Luigi Borgo, and in a video-documentary on the origins of entrepreneurship in the North-east - Una molla per il progresso, quando iniziava l'impresa, 1961 (A spring for progress, when the enterprise started, 1961) -, conceived and directed by Pierfranco Murru, which frames the company's development in a broader historical and social context.
