"One of Italy's most significant school-work alternation experiences." This was the motivation behind the awarding of Mevis S.p.A. and ITS Meccatronico Veneto at the national "Orientainsegnanti" (direct teachers) day, promoted by Confindustria and the Ministry of Education, and held in Modena on 18 November. The company, which has always invested significant resources in training and promotes initiatives aimed at fostering contacts between schools and businesses, has made available to its trainees three Comau robots reconditioned by the students, under the supervision of school and company tutors, to build robot stations that will be used for teaching purposes at the three ITS locations in Veneto ("Rossi" in Vicenza, "Giorgio Fermi" in Treviso and "Severi" in Padua). "It is only by bringing together resources from companies and schools that we can ensure the best training for our young people," commented Mevis president Federico Visentin on hearing the news of the prize awarded and received on the occasion by company managers Stefano Nagy and Valter Zanon, and by ITS representatives Giorgio Spanevello and Sergio Portinari, accompanied by students Alessandro Carlesso, Matteo Orso and Riccardo Zugno. Mevis was awarded the BoQue label for educational quality, which gives it priority for one school year in the activation of internships, alternation programs or apprenticeships. Mevis will also be included in the national register of "School-Friendly Companies".
