The objective of the electrical maintenance technician is to ensure the efficiency of production equipment and machinery, either by acting on the systems in a preventive manner or by repairing malfunctions or failures.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
The electrical maintenance technician is part of a structured team, reports directly to the Equipment Maintenance Manager and is responsible for:
- Understanding the electrical diagrams of a machine/plant;
- Carrying out, with the aid of suitable instrumentation, diagnostic tests to assess the operational status of the machine or plant;
- Recognising the main electrical faults of the machine/plant elements by carrying out troubleshooting -> repair -> definitive solutions -> possible updating of electrical diagram (in case of modifications);
- Correlating operating electrical parameters (current, voltage, resistance, etc.) with the health of the machine/plant;
- Carrying out electrical disconnections for mechanical interventions, complete overhauls, or complex interventions on machines out of service;
- Carrying out minor electrical set-up and calibration of machines/plants during start-up;
- Assisting the machine operator in the electrical set-up of the machine/plant;
- Updating the machine/equipment maintenance booklet.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS
- Diploma or qualification in a technical field;
- Proven and solid experience in the role;
- Good knowledge of electronics, electrical engineering and electricity combined with good manual dexterity and precision;
- Good specialist knowledge of maintenance of electrical installations and equipment;
- Good skills in interpreting electrical schematic drawings;
- Good knowledge of the English language;
- Precision;
- Teamwork.
