The Operations Manager is responsible for managing, monitoring and improving internal processes with the aim of making them effective and functional in achieving business objectives; managing and improving the supply chain to make the value chain efficient and profitable, all the way to the end customer.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES.
The Operations Manager, coordinating Production Planning, Production, Handling, Shipping and Warehouse activities and reporting directly to the Plant Manager, is responsible for:
- Manage and coordinate different company departments to ensure the highest level of efficiency, safety and quality.
- Identify areas for improvement and to propose development plans aimed at optimizing time and costs.
- Ensure the correct planning and scheduling of machines and people according to customer requirements.
- Improve the productivity of machines and people while meeting company safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate communication between departments and across business functions to align all departments toward long-term strategic goals.
- Manage the allocation of personnel across business functions by moving resources between departments and ensuring that skills, capabilities and technical means are managed to the best of their ability.
- Ensure the motivation of work teams by maintaining a high level of engagement.
- Monitor service levels periodically using performance indicators.
- Support the team to solve any problems in the value chain.
- Define a strategic plan to improve business processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Implement appropriate strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor the entire supply chain, with particular attention to material handling, inventory control, and shipping activities by proposing and implementing continuous improvement
- Monitor key logistics indicators in order to ensure stock control in value and quality.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and rotating inventory activities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in management/industrial engineering or equivalent culture.
- At least 8 years of work experience in related role.
- Excellent knowledge of Office package.
- Knowledge of ERP, WMS, MES management software.
- Knowledge of APS production planning and scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of SAP management software and SAP WMS preferred.
- Knowledge of the APS Cyberplan system preferred.
- Good knowledge of the English language.
