The Production Scheduler (PdP), reporting directly to the Operations Manager, ensures, based on information available in the company's Information System and the management policies defined therein, the effective planning and scheduling of activities for the various production departments in order to meet:
- The delivery deadlines defined in the contractual agreements with the customer.
- Customer orders entered into the SAP system.
- Materials management policies approved by the company.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES.
The figure will be responsible for:
- Perform daily MRP processing.
- Plan and schedule the production activities of the relevant departments, considering the information available in the SAP I.S., such as:
- delivery deadlines specified in customer orders (validating and/or proposing any new dates for customer order confirmation).
- The planning parameters set (SS, reorder points, etc.).
- The schedules of previous and/or consequent phases.
- The inventories/stock availability of the required raw materials and semi-finished products (size, quantity, type of material).
- Analyze and, if necessary, modify and confirm the r.d.a. to be forwarded to purchasing office.
- Monitor and, if necessary, periodically update production schedules in relation to advances.
He/She will also have to:
- Be an active participant in keeping the relevant company database correct (production orders, system errors, etc.) with periodic audits.
- Collaborate with the entire Operations team by reporting potentially abnormal situations and managing their resolution.
- Prepare and manage the required production reports.
- Constantly work towards continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in management engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in machine/plant production planning.
- Excellent knowledge of Office package.
- Knowledge of SAP management system preferred.
- Knowledge of APS systems preferred.
- Analytical skills.
