The Laboratory
Mevis has a team dedicated to carrying out trials and tests throughout the product cycle: development, prototyping, raw materials, processing stages, production control and final testing. The main operating areas are metrology testing and management, as well as research and failure analysis. Each production site has its own laboratory, to perform tests on product and process parameters. The Italian one is certified by Ministry of University and Research since 2003.
Laboratory equipment
The laboratory performs standard and customer-specific tests, such as dimensional tests, salt spray resistance tests, fatigue tests, material macro and micrographic analysis, also using an electronic microscope.
PPAP dedicated Team
Mevis has a dedicated PPAP measurement and approval team for new products and supports product development in finding solutions.
Our measuring equipment includes: 3D scanning machines, co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM), 3D measuring arms and 2D digital measuring machines.
MOTO tool
Mevis adopts procedures for managing continuous improvement. For example, in line with the Daily Kaizen program, the production teams meet every day to identify improvement opportunities. Total improvement objectives are a natural consequence of this: recognition, collection and enhancement of ideas, involving resources at all levels to bring innovation to the processes.

The first quality certifications in the automotive sector for Mevis date back to 1994, proving that Quality is in the company DNA. Mevis relies on a team of C.S.R. (Customer Specific Requirements) experts who offer customer support during product development and standard production.
