"I am delighted that once construction is complete an article from a Slovakian architecture magazine about the new Mevis plant in Šamorín, Slovakia, can be published here.
I must admit that this collaboration, lasting almost two years, has been one of the best and most enjoyable in my business. It started with trips to the foothills of the Alps, to Rosà and Bassano del Grappa, to get to know a little of the beauty of the region, the beautiful environment, and the Italian way of negotiating, preparing and analysing investments. It was followed with many meetings lasting hours, days or even weeks, during which everything was discussed to the smallest detail. And then everything continued in good spirits, despite the difficult conditions and the usual construction site problems.
What I appreciated most from Mevis is the constant focus on the quality of the architecture (and all aspects in general), the trust placed in us, the sticking to the chosen concept and its main elements during the entire design and realisation process. Nothing important has been deleted or omitted in an exaggerated effort to save money. In industry, functionality always comes first, but I am happy that elements such as the entrance and relaxation area, the lake and park, the atrium, the exceptional quality of the floors, ceilings, concrete walls, and vertical shading louvres, have all been retained. The technological features of the building are very modern. LED lighting everywhere, heat pumps with heating wells, groundwater used for cooling, adiabatic ventilation and air conditioning, and automatic irrigation, all of the best quality.
I must sincerely thank everyone involved in this process, from Mevis, to the companies responsible for the realisation of the works, to everyone else involved. But I want to personally express my gratitude to Andrea Visentin and Vladimir Ozvolda, who represented Mevis for us in the most determined way. Their positive and friendly attitude, patience, understanding and conviction were a solid basis for this joint effort.
And the results are clearly visible in the photos accompanying the article.
Finally, I would like to wish Mevis all the best, good health to its employees and success to all three Mevis plants."
