Since obtaining ISO 14001 certification, Mevis has demonstrated that it has responsibly adopted an effective system to control the environmental aspects and impacts of its activities, products and services, in the name of intelligent, eco-sustainable innovation. In recent years, with the intention of measuring its commitment to sustainability across the board, the company has added other specific third-party assessments (e.g. EcoVadis, CDP and Global Compact) to this certification.
Today, with the Group's Sustainability and Decarbonization Plan, Mevis aims to reduce CO2 emissions across all its production plants, in line with market demands and in compliance with European requirements.

Gender equality
Over the past four years, Mevis has made considerable progress towards gender equity. The women to staff ratio has increased significantly, to 30% of the entire workforce. This achievement not only represents an important milestone, but also testifies to the ongoing commitment to promoting an inclusive and diverse working environment. Women hold important roles not only in administrative and management areas, but also in production departments. This change has enhanced the corporate culture by bringing new perspectives and innovative ideas that have contributed to success. Mevis will continue to support gender equality, knowing that a balanced and diverse workforce is crucial to meet the challenges of the future and ensure sustainable growth.
Integrated sustainability
Mevis is known for designing and building its plants with a strong commitment to the environment and the well-being of employees. Each plant is designed to blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape, creating comfortable and sustainable spaces for those who work there. A key aspect is energy efficiency: using advanced technologies, Mevis aims at minimising environmental impact, with a focus on self-production of electricity through renewable sources. This approach not only improves the sustainability of the company but also demonstrates a tangible commitment to reducing emissions and saving energy.
Mevis GO Bike
Mevis launched the "Mevis Go Bike" initiative as part of its 2022-2025 Sustainability Plan to reduce CO2 emissions. E-bikes were introduced to encourage a healthy lifestyle among employees, improving physical and mental well-being through physical activity. In addition to being used for the home-work commute, e-bikes are also environmentally friendly fun.
The initiative also includes an annual contest where participants compete to accumulate the most kilometres on their bikes: those who at the end of the year have travelled the most kilometres will win an e-bike. In addition to supporting environmental sustainability, this project also helps the health and well-being of employees, a further demonstration of the commitment of Mevis to an inclusive and sustainable working environment.
